Olivia is a reporter and content writer based in Columbus, Ohio. Currently, she’s venturing into the world of freelance, and her work can be seen on OZY.com, Rewire.News, (614) Magazine, WOSU Radio 89.7 NPR News and AccuWeather. As a copy writer, she’s worked with Huntington Bank, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Capital University Law School on website updates, reports and articles. Besides her work as a journalist, she is also a teacher through the YMCA’s before and after school childcare program.

Olivia started as a radio intern for the local NPR affiliate WOSU Radio. She subsequently worked as a Dow Jones News Fund data intern for AccuWeather and then hopped over to Silicon Valley to be a reporting intern for OZY Media. She graduated from Ohio University (April 2017, summa cum laude), where she majored in journalism and war and peace and picked up a history minor and an environmental studies certificate.

While at Ohio University, Olivia worked for a daily online news publication called The New Political, where she served as the editor in chief, director of research and development and the state editor. The New Political won Best Online Independent Student Publication at the 2016 national Mark of Excellence awards. She also worked at Ohio University’s Office of Sustainability as the sustainability implementation coordinator.

In her free time, Olivia can be found exploring the outdoors, watching anime and cute animal videos, and reading LGBTQ romance books. (We all need hobbies.)
